Lynda Booth is owner and Director of Lynda Booth’s Dublin Cookery School in Blackrock, Co Dublin. She is a hugely experienced chef who has been teaching her craft for more than a decade. After her initial training, she moved abroad to work in restaurants in Canada (Four Seasons) and Italy (Relais Chateaux Hotels). Based on this experience, she gained a coveted spot working for Raymond Blanc in his Michelin two-star restaurant “Le Manoir aux Quat ’Saisons” in Oxford, England.
Dublin Cookery School runs evening, one day and one week courses and as well as the full-time One Month Certificate and the flagship professional Three Month Certificate courses. The cookery school has gone from strength to strength, being voted ‘Best Cookery School in Ireland’ in 2013 and 2015 at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
Lynda teaches full-time at the school along with the support of her course tutors. As well as being hands-on in the day to day running of the school, Lynda published her first cookbook, ‘From Lynda’s Table’ in 2013 for which she received rave reviews. The book was shortlisted for the ‘2014 Cookbook of the Year’ (Bord Gais Energy Book Awards) and reached the finals of the 2014 World Gourmand Cookbook Awards.
She is currently in the process of writing her second cookbook which will be out in 2017. Her passion for food and cooking is utterly infectious and the quality of the food produced at Dublin Cookery School is a strong testament to her and her team.
